Dimar group is an important point of reference in the Italian food distribution sector. The company activity, in continuous growth, is based on 5 distribution methods, with stores operating all over the territory. Dimar Group turned to Bis-Retail to implement an IT system to analyze their distribution network’s profitability and HR management.

Goals

In a very complex corporate structure, the sustained growth pace experienced by Dimar Group over the past few years, as well as innovation in distribution formats, have led the company to implement a management control system that, by involving all corporate components, would represent the “core” application to support corporate decision-making processes.

Outcomes

After a detailed analysis of the main management tools on the market, the Bis-Retail Explorer solution was chosen for the following reasons: • Ability to adapt to any relational database platform • Extremely flexible infrastructure system • OLAP technology to easily integrate different information sources • Ability to generate advanced and flexible reports, using the Data Warehouse technology • Reliability thanks to an important customer portfolio in Management Control applications
